Banjo and Kazooie

Banjo and Kazooie, the main characters of the series

Banjo-Kazooie, also simply known as Banjo since not every episode is also called "Kazooie" (tough the name "Banjo-Kazooie" still fits since all games star both characters), is a series of video games by Rare starring the titular duo of characters.

Three main games have been released:

  • Banjo-Kazooie (June 30, 1998), Nintendo 64. Re-released in 2008 for Xbox Live Arcade.
  • Banjo-Tooie (November 20, 2000), Nintendo 64. Re-released in 2009 for Xbox Live Arcade.
  • Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (November 11, 2008), Xbox 360.

Plus five minor titles:

  • Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge (September 12, 2003), Game Boy Advance.
  • Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge Mobile (July 2004), Mobile phone.
  • Banjo-Pilot (January 12, 2005), Game Boy Advance.
  • Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge Missions (June 14, 2005), Mobile phone.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie can also arguably be considered part of the series, since it features "Banjo-Kazooie" in the title.

Additionally a tech demo called Banjo-Kazooie Kinect was shown in March 2015 at the SXSW Awards. Being developed by Audience Entertainment exclusively for the event to be played by the audience, it's not meant to be released to the public.
