Marvel vs. Capcom is a fighting videogame series by Capcom and Marvel, featuring characters from various Marvel and Capcom series (as well as original characters like Amingo, SonSon, and Ruby Heart), thus serving as a crossover between them.
Video Games[]
The series officially started with the Marvel/Capcom crossovers X-Men vs. Street Fighter (1996) and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (1997), in here however both entries are considered crossover games forming part of the X-Men/Marvel Super Heroes (Capcom) and Street Fighter series instead, and only games titled "Marvel vs. Capcom" are considered part of this series. They are:
- Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes (January 12th, 1998) for Arcade, PlayStation, and Dreamcast
- Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (February 2000) for Arcade, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, Xbox, iOS, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade
- Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (February 15th, 2011) for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
- Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (November 15th, 2011) for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4. and PC through Steam
- Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite (September 19th, 2017) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC
Compilations[]
- Marvel vs. Capcom Origins (September 25th, 2012) for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A digital compilation including Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and Capcom's Marvel Super Heroes.
Comic Book[]
- Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. A 12 pages prologue comic book included with the game's Special Edition, written by Marvel writer Frank Tieri.
