In "Modern" Fire Attack the player controls Wario and must defend a giant golden statue of himself from the attack of Bullet Bills and Bob-ombs by smashing them with a hammer. Occasionally instead of a Bob-omb, Wario's Hen from Wario Land II walks in for bonus points. At 200, 300 and 700 points the cannons shoot a 1-Up Heart that removes a miss if its picked.

Additionally, the Gull returns in Donkey Kong Jr.
