The minigame called "The Great Cave Offensive", features 60 collectable treasures, many of which are actually items from other Nintendo games. One of these is the "Kong's Barrel", a barrel from the Donkey Kong series, even though it looks just like a regular barrel. It's worth 1500G.

In this game's remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the barrel is shown to have Donkey Kong's logo "DK" on it.

Other treasures include three items from the Mario series, the Screw Attack from Metroid, Falcon Helmet from F-Zero, Mr. Saturn from Mother, the Pegasus Wing from Kid Icarus and the Triforce from Zelda.

The Japanese version of the game features the japanese theme song from Kirby's animated series as one of the playable tracks.

In the North American release it was replaced by the American theme song of the series.

The European version doesn't include any song from the Kirby series, possibly because of the animated series having a different theme for each spoken language in European countries where the series aired.

See here for other songs featured in the game.

One of the unlockable 8-bit style tracks in the game is the main theme from Kirby's Adventure.
