Monster Hunter is a series of action-role playing video games by Capcom that also spawned to other media. The series is set in a fantasy world and the player takes on the role of the titular hunters.

A series of trading cards based on the series called Monster Hunter Hunting Card was released on October 25th, 2008 with periodic updates through 2009. A series of 6 Monster Hunter Stories amiibo was released in two waves:
- Wave 1 (October 8th, 2016): One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Male), One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Female), Nabiru.
- Wave 2 (December 8th, 2016): Rathian and Cheval, Barioth and Ayulia, Qurupeco and Dan.
An attraction based on the series, called Monster Hunter The Real, opened at Universal Studios Japan on January 13th, 2017 and will last until June 25th.
