For detailed information about this series, see: Paper Mario at Super Mario Wiki

Paper Mario is a series of RPG videogames by Nintendo featuring hybrid 2D and 3D graphics, and it's a sub-series of the Mario series.

Since the first Paper Mario game is seen by many as a sequel to Super Mario RPG, this SNES game is also sometimes considered part of the Paper Mario series, at least story-wise.

The actual Paper Mario games are:

  • Paper Mario (August 11, 2000), Nintendo 64. Originally called Mario Story in Japan. Re-released in 2007 for Wii Virtual Console.
  • Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (July 22, 2004), GameCube. Originally called Paper Mario RPG in Japan.
  • Super Paper Mario (April 9, 2007), Wii. A game mixing RPG elements with platform/adventure elements.
  • Paper Mario: Sticker Star (November 11, 2012), Nintendo 3DS.
  • Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (December 3, 2015), Nintendo 3DS. A crossover with the Mario & Luigi series.
