Olimar and Pikmin, the main characters of the series
Pikmin is a series of real-time strategy video games by Nintendo. It revolves around Captain Olimar and his Pikmin, plant-like creatures used to collect items, destroy obstacles, and fight giant monsters.
The series is only composite of four games:
Pikmin (October 26, 2001), GameCube. Re-released in 2009 for Wii in the New Play Control! series.
Pikmin 2 (April 29, 2004), GameCube. Re-released in 2009 for Wii in the New Play Control! series.
Pikmin 3 (July 13, 2013), Wii U.
Hey! Pikmin (July 13, 2017), Nintendo 3DS. A Pikmin amiibo will also be released with the game.
A group of three short movies based on
Pikmin 3, called Pikmin Short Movies, was also made available for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS through download on November 5, 2014.
