For detailed information about this series, see: Spider-Man Wiki
Spider-Man is a super hero series created by Marvel Comics.
The series follows Peter Parker, an intelligent high school student from Queens, New York, raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben who gains super powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider at a science exhibit. Initially seeking to capitalize on his new abilities, Peter dons a costume and, as "Spider-Man", becomes a novelty television star, growing so conceited that he didn't bother to stop a fleeing burglar. That same thief would later rob and kill his Uncle Ben. After tracking and subduing the killer, Peter was filled with remorse knowing that his inaction led to tragedy, deciding to become a vigilante super hero to help whoever he could, learning that with great power, there must also come great responsibility.
