A Xeno logo

The Xeno series is a term used to identify works developed by Tetsuya Takahashi, with all having the word "Xeno" in their titles.

It consists of works from three different RPG series:

  • Xenogears, a PlayStation game published by Square released on Feburary 11, 1998.
  • Xenosaga, a series of video games published by Namco, the first game released on February 28, 2002. The series consists of 3 main video game entries and several spin-offs and other media works.
  • Xenoblade, a series of video games published by Nintendo, the first game released on June 10, 2010. The series consists of 3 main video game entries and a few revisions.

Following the release of Xenogears, Takahashi and most of its staff created the company Monolith Soft, who has been the developer for all following entries in the Xeno series. While tied by recurring themes and occasional references, each of the three series feature completely different settings and characters, each telling a different story and being owned by a different company.

For this reason the "Xeno series" is not considered a fictional series in this Wiki, instead being considered a Type 3 link tying these three different series together.
